Community Work

"To care for those who once cared for us is one of the highest honors"

At Little Grebe Creative CIC, we’re committed to nurturing the next generation of writers, filmmakers, and artists across Wales. Through our accessible, hands-on workshops, we provide emerging creatives with the skills, confidence, and support they need to develop their craft. From storytelling and scriptwriting to filmmaking and visual arts, our education programmes are designed to inspire creativity, encourage experimentation, and open doors to the creative industries.

Alongside teaching, we actively invest in our community by creating paid work opportunities for local talent. Through our publishing projects, film-making collaborations, and creative commissions, we support writers, filmmakers, and artists to produce new work, gain professional experience, and share their voices with wider audiences. By combining creative education with meaningful employment, we’re building a stronger, more sustainable cultural landscape—one where creativity thrives and local talent is valued.

2026 sees the rounding up of Love Through Literature National Lottery Project and the launch of Bluestone Foundation funded Youth Futures & Laura Ashley Foundation funded Creative Voices.

Youth Futures has paid for and AQA Awards membership and 20 funded places to study media, film and creative writing.

Creative Voices is funding 50 places for young carers to find wellbeing and self expression through storytelling across multiple mediums; podcast, poem, film and narrative non-fiction. We are so grateful for the opportunity to continue growing into creative expression and wellness.
