Little Grebe Books
From Scribbles to Books
About Us
Little Grebe Books is an Indie Publishing house and literary consultancy based in Pembrokeshire, West Wales. It is our aim to open up a pathway to publication for new and emerging writers. As a publisher we specialise in Middle Grade and Young Adult Fiction with a carefully produced line of wellness books coming in 2024. We are currently open for submissions.
Our consultancy is made up of some extremely talented freelancers specialising in a variety of genres, all are authors and editors in their own right looking to pass on their knowledge and experience in the field. You can find out more about our mentors here.

Traditional Publishing
Traditional publishing deals are hard to come by. We aim to open up new pathways to publication by following in the wake of successful crowd funding publishing models. Crowdfunding offers writers the opportunity to build relationships with their readers, and go on to create more of what fans want. The benefit is having a bookshop presence within your local community alongside popular print on demand options.
Get to know us better through our podcast Out of Chaos and our Youtube Channel.

Mentoring
For writers that are developing and looking to learn more about the craft and progressing to successful publication, we offer editing, design and education services tailored to each individual. You can find our courses here and our mentoring services here.
Our aim is to make this as accessible as possible, so if financial limitations are holding you back please get in touch there may be some bursaries available.

Fiction Workshops for Youths
Art and Creativity matter a great deal to us here at Little Grebe. Co-Founder and Author Kerry Curson has a passion for creative education as well as writing for children. Our aim in 2025 is to reach wider audiences across our community through the funding we receive. We hope to eventually offer accredited qualifications taught in intimate and creative settings away from traditional large scale further education options.

2025 So far: We have received £20,000 from the National Lottery Community Fund to run a year long project called Love Through Literature. See info and events here.
